Shepherd’s Table Soup Kitchen Volunteer

This month, the Auston Grove Team will be assisting The Shepherd’s Table Soup Kitchen in serving free lunch to anyone in need. If you would like to make a difference, please click here and follow the steps to volunteer.

If anyone in the community has information on any volunteer activities nearby, please come by the office or call and let us know. We would love to sign up and participate to be a part of what you suggest in our efforts to be an engaged community partner!

Kona Ice

To show just how much we love our residents, Kona Ice will be coming by on Saturday, September 6 from 1:00- 3:30pm near the pool area. They will be giving away FREE Ice Cups to everyone. Please keep in mind; this is a first come first serve basis while supplies last. Come out, enjoy, and meet fellow residents!

Below are a few links for activities taking place in the area.

  • Raleigh Brewing Company
    Raleigh Brewing Co. is a homebrew store that provides knowledge and tours of the establishment along with beers and brewing. Every month they host exciting events that involve local homebrewers as well as local charities. See what’s going on!
  • Deans Seafood & Oysters
    Dean's Seafood Grill & Bar is Cary's new home for fresh seafood and oysters, and on Sunday, September 7 they are having a Low Country Sunday! If you enjoy seafood, stop by and dig in! Prices are $28 per person and $6 for kids 10 and under.
  • 9/11 Day of Service
    The 9/11 Day of Service, also called Activate Raleigh, is a community-wide service coordinated by Activate Good and the Downtown Raleigh Alliance in partnership with the City of Raleigh. On Thursday, September 11, local businesses, groups, and individuals will unite to honor those lost on 9/11 with volunteerism and acts of kindness around Raleigh and the Triangle. Get Involved!
  • SPARKcon
    SPARKcon is an interdisciplinary creativity, art & design festival produced by the non-profit creativity incubator, Visual Art Exchange, in Raleigh NC. SPARKcon 2014 will be the 9th annual event and happens Sept. 11-14 in downtown Raleigh.
  • Kightdale Community Day
    Knightdale Community Day is an event offering games, inflatables, local vendor products, food trucks, local acts, and more. This event is free, aside from any product or food purchases from vendors. Community Day will be held on Saturday, September 13th from 11am - 6pm at Knightdale Station Park.
